WebCam using OpenPhone

OpenPhone is a program that enables you to connect to any H.323 videoconference device. Many choose to use its video feed and turn off its sound and microphone, and instead use Skype for audio communication because of its superior audio quality.

Launch OpenPhone:

1. Know the IP address of the machine you want to connect to
2. To identify your own IP address:
   • Select Start -> Programs -> Assessories -> Command Prompt
   • Type ipconfig
   • Share the value of IP Address with those that want to contact you
3. Launch the program: Start -> Programs -> OpenPhone
4. Make sure you are using the headset microphone
   • Select Options -> Audio Device...
   • Select Recording: SoundMAX Digital Audio
   • Click OK
5. Connect to another computer
   • Click Make Call or select Call -> Make Call...
   • Enter the numeric IP address of the machine you want to connect to
   • Click OK
